“Statistical algorithms for the medical computer tomography”
The main aim of this presentation is to show properties of the statistical model-based iterative approaches to the image reconstruction from projections problem, and its importance. The considered reconstruction algorithms are based on this conception use a maximum likelihood estimation with an objective adjusted to the probability distribution of measured signals obtained from an x-ray computed tomograph device. Implementation of these statistical reconstruction methods can lead to decareasing of x-ray dose absorbed by the investigated patients.
